Snow Storm Back in the 1960s - Lexington NC

This is an old 8mm film of a snow storm sometime back in the 60s. It looked like a foot or two fell from this storm! The first part is in downtown Lexington and some of the local roads around the outskirts of town. The second part is the farm that I live on currently, my uncle grew up here and you can see him in this video a couple times. He was right around my age at the time.

I was living in Cincinnati when I first asked those questions. Now I am living on Gray Rd too! You know any of the Graves'? That my family, in fact many years ago I'm told it used to be Graves Rd.

Wow,I can remember the old Raylass and McClellan's stores on main street.My grandmother and I would take the bus into town and spend the day shopping at those stores and the old Grant's department store.We would eat lunch at Mann's Drugs or Mack's discount store.(This was in the early 70's;the city bus service was shut down in 1974.)

thats cool my dads from lexington,grandparents still live there,they say the hard winters here run in like a 30 year cycle,i wonder if its gonna come back this year.
