@bmjake - Hi, its a while ago now but I don't think we went above 2000' if that.
It's certainly possible to go up to 15K' but to be honest there's not much point going much above 2K unless you're avoiding the terrain. I've been up to 12K 'just because' but it was bloody cold (-2 Deg C/1000') and it took a while. Trikes are great fun, handle very nicely and if you can ride a bike you can fly a trike...
I fly stick and rudder these days, but for pure fun/£ you can't beat trike flying.

Me too. I just started learning to fly. It's awesome. Got my first taste in Kauai with Birds in Paradise. I'm hooked.
Is it real to build 1 your own and fly it?? (Im only 14 and wana build one for practice i wanna be pilot)

@hottboy19891 Depends where in the world you are really, but in the UK, serviceable older machines can be had for as little as £1500 which is peanuts. Training will be a min of 25 hours. Google microlight schools in your area and have a chat about rates. Many offer discount for block booking in advance, but I'd have a quick trial first. Enjoy and good luck!
