  • NOW I have figured out why Higgins was telling Thornton about Margaret´s brother. It was his way of saying: Go after her, you stupid man!

  • How is it even possible for a nose to be so sexy?

  • I wish Margaret would show some emotion. As for Mr. Thornton...after all she put him through and the way she treated him, he still loves her. That is true love. I want Mr. Thornton to look at me the way he looks at her!!! lol

  • "But if you think I've come to triumph over him, and that I don't feel keenly the misfortune of this empty place, then you don't know me at all".

What a shame that with all our progress we have lost the ability to speak to each other with the beautiful use of language demonstrated in this scene.

  • You're a phenomenal actor and we all love you!

    Just saying.

  • Oh Bates :)

You know we love you. :)

  • Mr. Thornton while smelling the flower: "I MUST have her."

  • they both have dirty fingernails even thornton :D

  • 2:41 Margaret's aunt's hairstyle is really silly. LOL :)

  • Also loved how strong and supportive Hannah Thornton is. "I don't mind about the house. I care about YOU." Thornton may have lost his business and (apparently) his love, but he still is incredibly lucky to have such a mother, who stands by him through thick and thin. And Sinead Cusack and Richard Armitage are totally brilliant in their roles.

  • I love the way Thornton whispers "He was her brother!" and the very knowing look Higgins gives him afterwards. That made me crack up. I also loved the petition he gives to Thornton and how he worked till the very end of his last shift . It was a gesture of solidarity and it must have meant a lot to Thornton at a time like that. This meeting was his way of showing his support to Thornton and saying that all's not lost, that he still has a chance; both in his business and with Margaret.

  • @princesslovelc Thornton's business was torn from him by circumstances, despite his best efforts to not let it happen. What man would give up his business, be jobless, in order to be with the woman he loves? (Except if she were dying or something.) Thornton wouldn't take up the deal with Fanny's husband because it was too risky, too likely to have him losing money which belonged to his workers.
