Because people trust the media to tell us the truth and if the media says Ron Paul is wacko, people believe it and don't even look at him as candidate. Everyone on TV says he has no chance to win so the people that trust the media won't vote for him because they think he doesn't have a chance and don't want to "waste" their vote.

If you mean America it was never meant to be. It was founded as a Republic. Meaning 51% can't enforce their choices/beliefs on the minority. Whereas that is essentially what a democracy is......mob rule. The majority of people aren't very smart. The founders knew the score and gave you a good basis for a good country, free of tyranny. Unfortunately you dropped the ball. A lot of people, in their heart of hearts, know America is finished.
