Students investigate the relationship amongst the resonance for different tuning forks and their frequency. Based on this, students can determine the speed of sound in air by using the wavelength of the tuning forks and the ambient air temperature.

Ideal for for AP, B and C, IB, and advanced honors physics courses.

  • I really thought the speed of sound had been calculated by now! Resonance is just a simple math problem, so i guess you are teaching 7th graders? ....i gave thumbs up though
