7)- SANDY THE RIVER DEMON

ZI XIAO QIAN KUN CENG YOU DANG

YU DI JIA FENG JUAN LIAN JIANG

SHI SHOU DA PO YU BO LI
Por accidente rompí una copa de jade

ZAO BIAN LIU SHA DONG AN SHANG

NI GAN XING XIONG DAO WO MEN

  • 2 things.

    1. He broke a "Jade" goblet...Jade is sacred in the ancient world, especially good for fighting off evil.

    2. Curtain raising general? I assume that's a literal translation...perhaps it really means something related to what a general would do. Curtain, like a line of men, and raising and in breaking that line of men, so a general in charge of breaking formations, or of sieges.

    thanks for putting these up.

  • BTW, handsome voice.

  • La ru lang zhong duo rou jiang

  • @ThaPlasticJesus lots of people in Journey to the West are cruel. Even Guan yin gave the Tang monk a gold band that he could use to torture Wukong whenever he misbehaved.

  • @anniedraconis007 It's China. And a legend. They are often very very cruel.

  • not only that but actual jade is very expensive and especialy back the pottery and carved jewelry was very difficult to craft due to the brittle nature of jade witch is btw not to be confused with the similar looking though more common jadeite

  • The Curtain raising general means that Sandy was the Jade Emperor's head body guard, in charge of lifting the curtain that separated the Jade Emperor from his court. It was a fairly high position to say the least. As for the glass, I have some thoughts on that that are too long to post here.

  • well in the orginal story, he was punished for falling asleep while on guard duty. I'm not sure where the vase comes in but then again this is one of those stories that does have a million tellings. Some more loosely based than others. *coughs Dragon Balls*

  • hey can you make a playlist for all the parts of the whole Journey West play?

  • Man if the gods were as smart as you there'd be no war. lol, cool comment.
