The cronyism among lawyers and judges is incredible. And usually, all judicial oversight agencies are controlled by the judges. Usually, judges get disciplined, if at all, for things that cause bad publicity for judges in general. But for other complaints, forget it. They have about as much power as anyone in the country, when you consider that people who are far more powerful nominally are reviewed by elections, whereas judges seldom have to face any public scrutiny at all.
