oh none taken. It is a crappy lens for sure, but not unusable. I took some nice pics of whales with this lens. A colleague bought this for $250. you can't beat this for 400mm lens.
On Nikon this was probably screw driven, so it was still better than this one. The motor in this thing simply eats through batteries in Canon mount. I mean it's so bad I had to first manually prefocus, and then fine tune with AF!
