  • Sears Canada is fiasco in comparison to Sears US...

For some reason, Sears over hires, then cuts wages and hours... Then you would have 1000 employees / 1 customer.. And management doesn't seem to reward revenue gains....

Sears, for the quality of their product, can do so much better if properly managed...

They shouldn't hire regional VIP's and Store Managers with a High School Diploma...

  • People could go to ANY store and buy their parts. Now, they have to dig up part #'s and wait for LONG hours to order a certain part, which is usually BACKORDERED.

And the database that contains manuals, service bulletins, recall notices, and service calls done/requested are NOT accessible to the employees. who get ZERO training. And senior staff don't wanna teach them how to be more efficient

Sears gets 99.9% of their stock from China, labelled, priced, ready to be shelved!

  • Yeah I mean I love3 dealing with people on the phone where you can't unde3rstand what they're saying!!!!!!!

  • Yeah and now Sears cut 250 Canadian Jobs so they can have their call center in the Phillipines? HAHA what a joke!!!"We've used this company before, and we've had calls answered by that company's employees in the Philippines, and it's been seamless to our customers," said Power. "We have drafted and completed a very-high level service agreement with this company so that our customers get a good experience

  • sears definitely sucks. Managers def dont put out fires. They make it bigger. Most associates know more than managers. Managers just sit on their ass. The MCAs dont keep their areas clean. The cashiers get treated like crap. The MPUs screw up customer orders also. I hated it there. Never going back. Hope they go out of business.

  • can't agree more....

Shitty company, grumpy employees (majority), poor wages, frugal work hours, over staffed, dumb ass managers, excessive supervision, NO bonuses or incentives...

    Just ONE big farce

  • Working at Sears was THE most mind-numbing, laughably underpaid, incompetently over-managed "business" you can EVER encounter

Over-Hiring: 100 associates-per-customer ratio. Lower wages, less hours per employee, 7-day availability for 1 shift per wk

    The managers are NOT EDUCATED

I recall seeing printed corporate guidelines coming from HEAD office of CANADA with spelling errors, and of poor sentence structure.

Their inventory system is mediocre, stores under supplied for hot-selling items!

  • Any retail store that you work at/or for is all about sales. If sales are below the "margin" than look out. Those sales shortages are blamed on employees who are either 1) Not keeping those fixtures tidy and neat. 2) a "click" with a manager. 3) Poor customer service skills. Other than that ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THAT SALE. WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF PAGANISM WHERE YOU WORSHIP THE MATERIAL GOD OF CLOTHING AND MERCHANDISE.

  • I work for sears and our managers do work themselves along with finding the right person. Shannon probably doesnt work sears now..

  • Got fired from Sears...loved it there. All we ever did was fuck around and play pranks and shit...Electronics department, baby! We did sell alot of TVs though! That's why they kept us around for so long!
