Maria Corazon "Cory" Cojuangco Aquino (January 25, 1933 August 1, 2009) was a President of the Philippines and a world-renowned advocate of democracy, peace, women's empowerment, and religious piety. She served as the 11th president of the Philippines from 1986 to 1992. She was the first female president of the Philippines and was Asia's first female president. Mrs Aquino died on August 1, 2009 after suffering from colon cancer.

A self-proclaimed "plain housewife", Aquino was married to Senator Benigno Aquino, Jr. (19321983), a leading figure in the political opposition against the autocratic rule of President Ferdinand Marcos. After her husband was assassinated upon his return from exile in the United States on August 21, 1983, Aquino, who had no prior political experience, became a focal point and unifying force of the opposition against Marcos. She was drafted to run against Marcos in the 1986 snap presidential elections. After Marcos was proclaimed the winner despite widespread reports of electoral fraud, Aquino was installed as President by the peaceful 1986 People Power Revolution.

It came from your mouth that Marcos was protecting Danding Cojuangco, the alleged murderer of Ninoy Aquino, because Danding was a Marcos ally. In like manner, should Gloria Arroyo protect the Ampatuans because they are allies? The record shows that Marcos extended his rule beyond the term limits mandated by the Constitution. In like manner, should Gloria Arroyo also extend her presidency beyond June, 2010 until the year 2023? Sinong nagbubulagbulagan ngayon?

Show me the proof of the lies in the history I believe in. Is it a lie that Marcos ruled the Philippines for 20 years - 12 years beyond the maximum mandated by the Constitution, at pinakulong pa nya si Ninoy Aquino? Is our foreign debt from the Marcos years a lie?

Kung marami ngang komunista ang nasa oposisyon ay bakit di naging komunista ang Pilipinas under Cory Aquino kung kelan yung mga oposisyon ang naging sa poder? And why did Marcos lift Martial Law in 1981 when the communist movement was in fact stronger than it was in 1972 when Martial law was initially declared? Perfect ang timing ni Marcos dahil tinanggal nya ang Martial Law nung wala na si Ninoy Aquino, his main rival, sa Pilipinas!!!

At kung yung Martial Law ay para mapatigil ang communist movement, bakit ang mga pina-aresto ni Marcos ay mga opposition leaders, journalists, academicians who dared speak against the Marcos regime? Eh di ba't having an active opposition, a vibrant free press and academicians are vital to a democracy? In trying to supposedly prevent communism, Marcos converted the Philippines into a dictatorship. We would have ended up like North Korea under Marcos.
