It probably helps them do chords that you cant on normal guitars as opposed to only using to get a couple notes higher
-
@ddut887 He was joking. Do you even know who Jordan Rudess is? He can ask you whatever question he wants and you'd better give him some respect, even if he disrespects you. lol

@panamanian911 have man, you get it! thanks for posting that. for everyone else, the high G is not about new notes, more so new ways to order notes that aren't possible without it, bigger chord voicing's, etc...
-
@JRFcomposer That's like saying that adding a lower B string only gives you 5 more notes. I mean it's true, except for the fact that the B string (or high G in this case) is ALWAYS there. You can string skip to those instead of moving positions like you would normally have to if you didn't have them.

best vid ever iv been looking for something like this for ever!!!
-
@HumanLifeMachine yeah, that guy is a total douche for even asking that question
-
@ai4281 Agreed, that seems like a waste of a string to only achieve a few extra notes passed the 24th fret high E.
-
what's with the high G string? I don't get it.
The guitar looks amazing though. I love the LEDs!!
-
Same here.

Jordan was like... "I like those LED's. Kid, you might as well just hand it over to me or The Bear will eat you"
LOL "You know how to play that thing?"
