  • Nice man, Kai tak runway 13 one of my personel favorites :)

  • Nice...video but i think you took the turn bit early.......

  • I train that approach on and on... but still i do it less smoothly than you! Regards from Poland

  • FSX or fs2004

  • Why is ther a "LAND3" Mode indicated during your approach and land? Are you flying this approach and land with 3 activated Autopilots? LAND3 is the indication for a autoland with 3 APs commanded. Usefull for low visibility approaches. I think LAND 3 is not allowed for kai tak approaches during the final turn at the chekerboard. Or am in wrong?

  • @GoldLeader272 GPWS (Ground Proximity Warning System) is installed on 99% of aircraft. One feature is the "sink rate" warning which triggers at various descent rates (in feet per minute, FPM) depending on altitude from Radio Altitude (above ground) from 2,500 and less. As a rule of thumb, descent rate should not be more than double your altitude. So, if at 1200 feet, "sink rate" will sound if at just over 2,400fpm descent. Treble-ish this altitude rule for "PULL UP" warning.

  • @FSXreality Thanks for answering, but I know about PAPI/VASI indicators, however what is "Don't Sink" indicating?

  • @GoldLeader272 Sometimes you can get a G/S warning but the most important, when visual, is the two whites/reds to the side of the runway. What you don't really want is a 'sink rate' warning at 200 feet or so!
