Now, he did about 3 ounces of each rum, about 1/4 of an ounce of lime juice, an ounce of Blue Curacao, and an ounce of Grenadine. Completely different from what he tells you. USE A JIGGER. DON'T TRY TO LOOK IMPRESSIVE BY FREE MEASURING.

Half the amount of rum, no grenadine, and orange, not blue, curacao. Thank you for the previous comment - the orgeat syrup makes it a mai tai. The drink here is what gave the mai tai a bad name. And the dark rum floats atop -- stir only if you want.

What's wrong with this guy? Watched his Mai Tai making and his making of a Mojito. He's just plain wrong about it. If one should make an instruction video, one should at least know the original recipes. I.M.H.O.

Our friend put way too much rum in that glass, which would overpower the taste. Plus, you use ORANGE curaçao, not blue (where the heck did that come from?), also missing is the key almond orgeat syrup. Check out Trader Vic's original receipe.
