See me die in very silly ways on Capcom's sequel to "Ghost'n'Goblins"! I really love this game, and altough this original version of 1988 is excelent (and insanely hard, a tradition for the series) later Capcom outdone themselves with the remade SNES conversion of "Super Ghouls'n'Ghosts" (and later, GBA). Game was also converted to the Megadrive by Sega themselves, and like "Strider" and "Forgotten Worlds", its a very faithfull recreation of the arcade original. sadly I have yet to experience the PSP remake, but would really love to see more games of the series. Both PS2 games of "Maximo" are also very good, but I prefer my games 2D. In fact think ill go play "Super Ghouls'n'Ghosts" on the Wii Virtual console right now!
this was the game that i beat in the arcade with one single life. yep, never died once. i remember i was cutting class about age 13, in junior high school 1989, periods 1-3, at a laundromat in brooklyn NY, and the buttons on the arcade panel were broken on the right side so i had to play "cross-handed" using the left buttons. i was playing 2 players. the 2nd player waiting got pissed that i wasn't dying. i beat it in one life once through. the second time around, i lost interest. what great game

Never noticed that the horse in the intro was literally vaporized when it was hit by the laser beam
