This is a great one stop overview of all PC Engine hardware. I think I've said before that NEC made the weirdest add ons and adaptors for its systems, and revised the system through various upgrades, some more successful than others (CD ROM vs Supergrafx for instance!).

UPDATE I HAVE PMD THE FIRST FOUR DUDES WHO LEFT COMMENTS WHO WANTED ONE, I DON'T GUARANTEE THERE WILL BE ANY LEFT AND I MAY NOT CHECK MY MESSAGES AGAIN BEFORE THE WEEKEND. Just so no-one is left disappointed. Thanks.

  • Thanks so much for posting the video. I linked to in on the poster thread. It was a blast working with everyone to research the hardware. I had no idea how extensive it was until I got into it. I think it's a pretty comprehensive family tree, but since there are some unconfirmed things still out there, super rare controllers and such may be omittied. Yes, we did choose to not list prototypes as that would have made the poster nearly impossible to complete! Thanks again!

  • @henrycsc Great work on this Henry, thanks for watching. You should do a ghetto poster for download with messed up combinations!!

  • Nice vid. Recently discovered the channel BTW, excellent it is too. Want a PC Engine so much.... maybe in the new year!

  • @MrVengeance83 thanks for the kind comment! Hope you get your PC Engine..!

  • @futurematt5 I'll try to work something up. I do have a hirez image of the real poster linked on the forum thread though. And if you read the thread, there are some pics of truly messed up imaginary combos (like using the PCE and US TGCD base).

If I ever find a LT2SCD2 adapter, I will hook the SGX to the SCD2 using the RAU30 and the LT2SCD2.... I just lost everybody... but it would be Ghetto... trust me!

  • I couldn't leave out the LT! cue at 0:23 and you will see it there! The LT has 2 interface options - RAU-30 with the CD-Rom2 IFU-30 and another with the SCD-Rom2 using the LTtoSCD2 adapter!

Hopefully all of the official releases are there.

Couldn't miss the LT! cue at 0:23 and you will see it there! The LT has 2 interface options - RAU-30 with the CD-Rom2 IFU-30 and another with the SCD-Rom2 using the LTtoSCD2 adapter!

  • Great little (I say little lol) poster..... this is without doubt one of the best range of console equipment based on a single rollout of console ever! Awesome platform and totally under-rated imo. This is one of the best consoles that the EU never really witnessed!

    Great vid! :-)

  • @PSI236 HA! There was a bit of discussion about that on the forum but 'unlicensed mods' weren't included. That would have opened the doors to a load of weird and wonderful mod combos, which would have made Henry's job difficult!

  • Never seen a family tree as interesting as this one! Fascinating vid

  • I got mine from henry 2 weeks ago!! I know he made just 20 of em and if you collect u want it. such a great poster.
