4:45 - 5:20 this is my favorite part. idk why it sounds so appealing to me; i think its because the clashing notes and nasty chords in the first section just set the mood for the Titanic sinking PERFECTLY. Like, when you hear the piano crashing down there... ooohhh.. chills!

This should have been on the original soundtrack album.The building of the panic that ensued as the ship was sinking was an incredible part of the film and the soundtrack heightened the apprehension that was felt by the passengers and crew as they fought for survival.

I really like the tension of the first minute and a half or so, epecially the morse code-esque instrumentation in the first 15 seconds.

i actually like the beginning and i agree i loved the movie first time i saw it when i was 9.. the music was a big part of the experience...eventho the characters spoke Chinese !! well at least now i can watch the english version without the retarded chinese subtitles
