@GTVAlfaMan yea, CA has some of the toughest (and IMO dumbest) dumb laws in the country, maybe only second to D.C. I guess the only thing that normal citizens can do is practice, practice, and more practice with their firearms if they have a LUCC. CCW permit in CA should be "shall issue" and not "may issue". I really wish the LE community would learn that criminals don't obey gun laws. It only affects normally law-biding citizens.

I'm 15 and I've grown up with guns all my life, and happen to live in California, what this state has done is disarmed people and made them more vulnerable to crimes. It is way to hard to get a gun here for self protection..we have corrupt politicians and corrupt law enforcement officers.. California has to be one of the most unconstitutional states in the US

The point of LUCC is to have a gun with you which is better than having your gun at home. I now live in California and it is next to impossible to obtain a CCW permit. Open Carry was recently banned and LUCC is the only option left to carry my firearm when I go outside of my home. I know LUCC puts me at a 5-10 second disadvantage but at least my firearm is not at home.

Do you know of anyone in Southern California who was granted a CCW permit recently? Someone who is not a famous actor, rich businessman, NBA basketball player or best friend or close relative of the local police chief?

@GTVAlfaMan wtf is the point of a LUCC in a emergency situation. It takes valuable time to load the gun before it's ready to go. I hate these stupid laws. We all know that criminals don't give a shit about these laws and that these laws don't protect police officers. It just gives them a power trip. Or maybe they don't like all the extra work they have to do because dumbasses call 911 saying "OMG someone has is walking around with a gun doing everyday normal things".

@severussnape222 And yet in Oregon, we have some of the friendliest gun laws in the nation. Not the best, but nowhere near CA, NJ, or Ill.

HR 822 might be of some help, but I fear it is just a Republican ploy to get a veto they can use against Obama in the upcoming election.
The best thing we can do with California is let it become a haven for frightened ninnies, let them all move there, then the rest of us, including the cops who have to respond to their foolish complaints, can live in peace once they've departed from where we live.
So glad I left!

@WasatchIntercept hmmm, I musta done that one a while back on accident. Think on this, when have the feds ever passed a gun bill that gave you more rights? If you think this one will not carry along some national id card or something like that then you are seriously mistaken.
