just WOW... ERIC is truly amazing... Actually it's not about who he's with while singing or how husky or rasp his voice is.. this is for a cause.. and ERIC have such a very big heart for performing here.. I'm touched with his performance... He's the best!! Look at how he made the audience feel.. Just amazing... :)
(and....... He will always be the best vocalist/singer..EVER!!!!)

..to me tay's rasp is more natural than erics..cause hes just been sounding like that since like 10/12 years old..you dont have yet the maturity to know what sounds cool or no on that age and tays is doin that since that age...while erics in my opinion just learned how to do it, cause hes able to put out many voices...i find him very talent, he really knows what hes doin..shouldnt say this but i rip all his discorahpy from net, but mainly because he got that rasp, naturally or not, still good.
-
@xcarmox Hmmm... I do agree with some of what you say, though, I do believe the raspiness does come very naturally- I'm sure you've heard his talking voice, although maybe not entirely, "Raspy," It's got a solid huskiness to it, which is very similar. He is a soulful singer, I believe it's an even mix of head and diaphram. He's definitely not as noticeable when he talks, (To those you pointed out as examples!) But when he is getting intense in conversation, it becomes more obvious. ;-)

...in his covers album, when hes singing woman singers' hits, hes a totally diferent singer...he doesnt have that raspiness anymore...which leads me to think that the raspiness he does is not vocally natural..cause when a singer sings like if they have sand on their throats (ex: rod stewart, Bonnie Tyler ) they usually sing as they talk in a normal conversation...
-
@Suzisueful Is not about opinion, we know when a singer is better than the other...but iam no gonna say tay is best, cause theres thousands of singers singing outherem no one cant pick the best singer...but i know eric got a more powerfull voice than tay, can hit the notes with more strengh..theres no doubt bout that...i was just sayin that the raspiness on their voices are similar...but i think in erics case its a mather of a more head voice...he can choose to sound like that or not...
-
@xcarmox No, it's all a matter of opinion, but of course, if you'd ever heard Eric live, (Which, I don't know whether or not you have,) I did see him last week, & even after 2 & a half hrs, I still couldn't get enough. Taylor is ok though. I don't think they sound much alike-just the edgyness. Eric always sounded like this too, this song in fact? He wrote when he was 16!
-
@Suzisueful Well, tay is sounding like this since hes 13...dont know about eric thouh...but we are not here to say whos better and whos not...iam sayin they sound very similar...just that.
-
@xcarmox OMG, no, they have a similar edgyness to their voices, but no way is that Taylor dude anything like Eric... his voice & talent are unparalleled... Taylor does not wow me, he is ok... that's it~
