The second record (arguably) holds a better set of songs- Still, the dynamics and overall power of "SYMM"...extremely hard to match. Plus too... this was back when pianos still fit well into a Rock song in general+ +

@NewWorldRob All analog, all rhythm tracks and most of the vocals recorded live. This album, labeled "over-produced" by OnlyForAngels above, was cut live in the studio, played, mixed and mastered in less than 3 weeks. Some people really need to check their facts before they open their mouths. As Ben Franklin said, it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it.

@OnlyForAngels Listen to "Amorica'. Then listen to "3 Snakes and One Charm". Then re-listen to "Southern Harmony and Musical Companion". Anyone who can listen to "Sometimes Salvation" and not feel that needs to check their pulse. As for "obscurity", give me the "obscurity" that leads Jimmy Page to hire you as his band any day. I don't like to disrespect anyone's opinion, but "as far as you have considered" is really not very far in this case.

@BossiBrnEyez This band has some of the best, most emotive and honest music created in the rock era. They are/were also without a doubt the best live act I have ever seen, and I say that as a musician for 30 years now. It would do your mother's memory proud for you to explore their catalog, including the multitude of excellent live recordings which they allow and encourage their fans to make. I just lost my dad on 12.13.11.  God bless, peace and love.
