Manila, Philippines -- ONE is vulnerable and the other is impossible... to understand.

KC Concepcion is hurting, her young heart wounded by a love affair not meant to be. In her words, Piolo Pascual is looking for something, someone else. He was her first showbiz romance and she thought all along it was forever.

DJ Mo is something else. Here's a man of the world with a sharp mind and tongue apparently devastated by a lady love who dumped him. But why when he's an old pro in the game of love, an unwed father?

People expect him to mend a broken heart, if indeed it was broken, in no time. After all he's no babe in the wood. But here he is pining for Rhian Ramos on television and the internet, dropping hints about a child who never saw the light of day.

My heart goes out for KC, but hopefully, sooner than later, she'll get over Papa P. Can't really blame her for falling head over heels in love with Piolo, who's devastatingly handsome and can be very charming when he wants to. But as the song in "Fantasticks" goes: "Without a hurt the heart is hollow."

KC's mother, megastar Sharon Cuneta, is so right when she refused to add fire to the already burning issue. While she remains protective and supportive of her daughter, she's aware that KC is of age (in her 20s) and bright (Pariseducated). The girl will never get over her first big heartbreak.

Asked by TV5's "Paparazzi" host Cristy Fermin if Sharon was aware of rumors, repeat rumors, that Piolo Pascial is gay, she refused to dwell on it. But surely, the megastar has heard and read about the gay rumors.

Heard that in Boy Abunda's interview on ABS-CBN's "The Buzz," he asked a teary-eyed KC about the gay rumors, but that portion was edited out. Understandable as Piolo and KC are under one Kapamilya network, talents of Star Magic.

The career handlers of Rhian Ramos are understandably worried as the issue DJ Mo is tweeting is very sensitive, delicate. It can destroy her career, even her life. Well, DJ Mo has said goodbye to showbiz to "find himself" in New York. In his last day in "Paparazzi," DJ Mo said 2011 was a most painful and trying year in his personal life. He didn't elaborate, however, on it, no pasabog as feared by Rhian's camp. His career did well, but he couldn't cope with the crisis in his lovelife. He's also worried that his US-based daughter by Bunny Paras is sick.

Then by all means fly to the US to be with his daughter... and sort out whatever is plaguing his heart and mind.

But please stop those innuendoes about Rhian Ramos. Why hurt her when you were lovers for a long time. Rhian is young and DJ Mo is mature. He should be in command of the situation, not acting like a lovestruck (vengeful?) teener.

Rhian seems to be carrying it well, but then we don't really know what's inside her heart. (Ronald Constantino)
