April 25 Vineyard Feast at Haak Vineyard & Winery Santa Fe
Sitting outside, overlooking the budding grapevines, Eddie and I spent an enjoyable afternoon talking with Raymond Haak. Raymonds passion and love for his vineyard and winery were obvious and delightful.
On Saturday, April 25, you can join the Haaks and their guests for a fabulous Vineyard Feast. Serving as hosts for the evening, Raymond and his wife, Gladys, will greet guests with their 2008 Reserve Blanc du Bois wine and some wonderful Texas Gulf Coast shrimp, donated by the Gulf Coast Shrimp Association. Guests may wonder throughout the grounds, enjoying the view of more than one thousand Blanc du Bois grapevines, in full bloom.
Dinner, featuring roast suckling pig and all of the trimmings and of course more of the award winning Haak wines, will be served at tables scattered throughout the vines. And for dessert, its a trip down into the cellar for a special treat of port and chocolate. And finally glasses of wonderful Madeira wine will be enjoyed while sitting by the outdoor fire pit. And for those of you who choose to indulge, a cigar or two may be had.
So, listen in to Talk of the Bay as Raymond gives us a flavor of this wonderful evening.
