does every optimus v come with a 12 month warrenty? got mine in november and i charged it overnight the phone turns on but the screen is like half black and the other half is a bunch of verticle lines.. im hoping to send it in for a new one please write back asap

@elionly16 I actually can't remember if the Optimus V has a 90 day warranty or a 1 year warranty, but call Virgin Mobile anyway and tell them your phone has stopped working. Odds are they will offer to replace it for you free of cost - they want to keep you as a customer. :-)

ive had virgin mobile for a while i started with a couple horible phones till i got the rumor touch. i like it. then for christmas im probly getting this phone so i was looking for reviews and i liked urs the best out of the ones i saw. thanks for the very specific review!! :)

Great review, helped me make up my mind, got this phone this cyber monday for $52, from the comfort of my home and didnt have to stand in line for hours.

What is Gingerbread (CM7) you referred to in another comment ?

@friendlyuser1 Gingerbread is Android 2.3 and while it's never been officially released for the phone from Sprint/Virgin Mobile, several people have made excellent ports of CM7 (which is a Gingerbread based ROM from a third party). In particular I reccomend "Inferior Human Organs" CM7 ROM for the Optimus V.
