This is a three-part documentary about one of Tasmania's ancient threatened forests. The valley has some of the most amazing giant Eucalyptus trees, Sassafras and old beautiful Myrtles, such natural beauty is hard to convey through a screen, come to Tasmania and see the forests for yourself.

Tasmania's old growth forests are under threat by a money hungry short-sighted corporation, called Gunns Ltd. They have the government wrapped around their little finger. They are ripping up these intricate ecosystems and turning them into woodchip for paper. The industry is not sustainable and action needs to be taken to stop this disgusting destruction.

In December 2006, non-violent direct action volunteers began the tree sit blockade of a proposed logging road through Tasmania's Upper Florentine Valley. Halting the destruction of pristine ancient old growth forest, which should be protected as WORLD HERITAGE.

Beautiful vid. Power to you. Australia has more than enough timber plantations for all our wood and paper needs. Native forest is far more valuable as a carbon bank, not to mention a vital part of Australia's natural heritage. All those who hate greenies are essentially saying they hate Australia and want to see it destroyed.

This is a really important protest defending one of the world's true heritage sites--beautiful ancient trees. But it is also about defending the world's air filter, which makes it possible for animal and human life to continue on earth. How foolish we are if we don't cut back on carbon emission in every sphere. This protest is making people think about these things. Well done to the protesters! And a great piece of filming, too ...
