Gonzalez said in an interview that he never learned about music, that he just composed songs until his ears felt they sounded right. It reminds me of myself since that's the way I am when I compose music, though I'm nowhere near as good as him. Vastly underrated composer, but definitely not in this list !

@tweltery You're right! I never noticed O_O! Chrono Trigger had one of my favorite sountracks of all time. Maybe it's just coincidence but probably I got a subconscious inspiration in that part of the song :P Those things happen when you compose music, you know...

@SupraDarky A lot of composers don't really learn about music. And those that go to school for it (like me) often have composition mentors that say, "Ya know all that crap you learned in Theory classes? Fuck it. Just write something good."
