Trip to Chernobyl and Pripyat - April 2009 (Part 3)

This is a video that was made during our trip to Chernobyl and Pripyat on Sunday, 12nd of April 2009. Those videos were taken with two differents cameras, therefore the video and sound quality is different in some parts of the video.

Stupid Question: Whats with all the windows being broken out on the buildings?

Was it done intentional or by vandals?

@Denniss7420 It was done intentionaly. Breaking the windows of the buildings let the radiation going out of the apartments.

@Bombargo333 It's not a restaurant. The agency of Chernobyl Interform (the one that organizes trips to Pripyat) is based in Chernobyl city (around 20-30 km from the nuclear plant). And, well, they do cooking for tourists. And they have also some rooms for people that spend 2 days in the zone.

@michael18152 no the radiation is average one micro sivert ,it is harmful depending on a dose but no staying there for about 2 hrs and away from radiation pockets is safe
