@kickedintheballs2000 Iv been hearing that ak-74 mags work in the saiga .223, can you check that out? I'm out of cash and lost my job so I can't, and when I find a job it would be awesome to buy cheaper ak-74 mags than the saiga hi caps.

@Gribnitz1 if you get the "kit" and restore it to the standard AK its more secure because its how the gun was originally designed and made, they had to modify AKs to move the trigger back, in the factory so they put a metal plate on there to house the new trigger group. when you get the kit I recommended the tapco G2 trigger, but. it looks better and it was how the gun was made. there are videos online for it.

@kickedintheballs2000 , does this rig job apply to the 7.62x39 model saiga as well? R they the same stock setup. Also, do the saiga's come with a USA stock?, cuz i wanna know if this rig job would work after the saiga has just been bought and in its factory form. please respond. :) THANKS

That shorty version is a felony offense unless you registered it as a handgun (at least where I live in Michigan)

Whats the benefit of actually moving the trigger group vs using a buttstock where you don't have to move it ? Love your vids dude ! You are a scholar and teacher.

Well some of the benefits would be A: The Trigger would be alittle smother and Grip would feel more natural. B: The grip would be alittle stronger. C Many people think it look better. But other then that I would say there is really not more of a diffrence.
My set-up is more of a rig job then a pro job but I still must say it has held up great and works like a charme at less then half the price of moving the whole trigger group.
Thanks for the support man.

You really can't beat doing it the right way and move the trigger group like pretty much all AK's are but for a normal guy that is hurtin for money ( Like most of us today in the USA ) the rig job works very good I think.
And you can always just do the trigger group swap down the road when you have the cash and learn more about doing it & AKs in general.
