bgdrsp: Mercury untreared is harmful, but not treated like this. Mercury is used in ayurvedic medicine and also it was used in some way in 'VIMANA' as stated in "VIMANIKA SHASTRA".

@bgdrsp ...what you said is according to your knowledge.But Ayurveda says a lot different, mercury is used as an incredible medicine in Ayurveda.

TV9 should discourage this kind of adventures. Mercury is not good if it enters the blood stream (by touching the mercury and a open wound is good enough). Mercury vapors are toxic as well. Also it is bad for environment as well, if used inappropriately.
