Wilt Chamberlin, yes the old NBA legend, WAS the tallest professional beach volleyball player ever at 7'1.5" Currently I don't know who it is, Phil is about 6'9.5" I think, there's probably some others that are taller but not as good. Reach is really what matters, not height.
