SICK!!! man i watched it twice, those trucks really haul ass. when i watch it i always get the same impression. like holy shit that was a good 60' and 1/8th mile.. but the truck is going to get reeled in. then it just keeps pulling on the back half! what amazing vehicles

Thanks for the comment. I have another Typhoon that I converted the chasis to 2WD and is 900lbs lighter. It runs on e85. There are some maiden shakedown run videos (on youtube) when we where tuning it last fall. Lookup - John Gerber 2WD Typhoon TT V6 Tuning with E85- or just type in - gerber e85- and it should come up. These are great trucks! I had the AWD one you see here since 1994. It only has around 13k miles on it.

No sts kit. It's a 72mm PTE turbo.

its lighter than a new camaro or gto..people are surprised at these trucks its cause they are light and awd..boxiness/aero has less to do w it than weight/traction

Very nice.. I've always loved these and the Cyclones. I'm not sure what stock tranny comes in these but do they hold up pretty good? I've seen one with a 4L80 swapped into it.

I got a 89 GMC S15 Gypsy, I have put a drop kit on the front end, and am running 16" I'ROC2 rims, but I was wondering if my 5.7L 350 convert to a 383 stroker would be too much, or if I should just stick with the 4.3L v6. Either way I am going to toss in a ram air turbo.. she should have 700hp... I will post vids after I have got her painted.

I am with Power Brake Service, we do performance brake upgrades and we need to get ahold of any of the Typhoon, Syclone, turbo GM trucks of that era to do a video of. Turbos rob vacuum from the brake booster and we retrofit hydraulic brakes to solve that. Check out my page to see what we did with a Turbo Buick and a T-bird SC, we've done the Turbo GM trucks before, but want to do a video to show clients how to install it, please let me know of somebody in the community in Southern California.
