Safa and Marwa are two hills in the neighbourhood of Masjid-ul-Haram. The literal meaning of Sa'i is to run. Muslims who perform the Hajj must run in the middle portion of the distance between Safa and Marwa seven times,this is called"Saee".

  • @tehshortnoob, because our prophets abrahim's wife ran to look for water while her baby Prophet ismail was lying on the other mountain, when he disappears because of the declined mountain, she would quickly run to other side to the mountain marwa where she could see her baby again
