At the local short track Minnesota National Speedway, Daytona 500 Champions Richard Petty and David Pearson both accepted invitations to test Nascar Cup cars to see if the track was acceptable to join the Nascar track family. Well an old rivalry was reborn in the process. Both Petty and Pearson gave the track approval, future races and dates are TBA in 2008.
