This is the official trailer to our Independent Game created with Microsoft's XNA. This indie game is a combination of many styles of games like Metroid, Castlevania, Flashback, Wonder Boy in Monster World, Contra, and tons of other stuff. The art is all hand drawn, HD, 2D stuff, and it runs on the X-Box 360 as well as PC.

Fantastic art design. Simple textures that somehow look very high-end, and large old school bosses.

your explosions/flames have the MOST AWESOMEST particle system i've ever seen! how did you make it to look/work/react like that?

I want to start making games as well and Ive got a question (although this vid is old of course and you may never see this). is the scaling and camera moves and everything just done with scaling sprites or is it something more advanced like polygons?

Is this game influenced off that cheezy 80's movie Troll and/or Troll 2? It still looks amazing.

Almost every indie game i saw have incredible design and well forged ideas. in some cases better than high budget, mainstream games. just like music

If only call of duty can add this concept of hamburgers and air conditioning. What programming language did you use. Did you use C# or C++.
