The film show the exact moment when the SUNRISE telescope gondola is separated from the balloon. After very few seconds of free fall the parachute opens and takes the load, while the collapsed balloon falls to earth from 120.000 feet.

Take note of the "roller coaster" like movement of the payload under the parachute. Even, near the end of the film, the up-looking camera mounted in the gondola frame shows during a second the horizon and clearly visible is the earth's curvature.
