  • Actually the 312K was first released in January '09. The "K" is a release designation that is approximate:

The Panerai PAM 312, released at SIHH 09, is a stainless steel model housed in a 44mm 1950 Luminor case. The watch features a clean, black dial and black alligator strap with a brushed steel buckle.

  • No Rob, the K ist not a release designation, but the production date. The 312, like the 320 were released in 2009, but most of the first models were manufactured in 2008, My 320 is an L model an was built on 12/3/09.

Panerai says that the letter designates a "release or production" sequence for cases not related to a specific date....."B" after "A", "K" after "J" and so on. No date is actually implied.

  • Hi Rob! Nice video, very beautiful watch. Just a little mistake: K stands for 2008. L is 2009.

  • the statements you make about the origin of this watch are incorrect. in 1936 the first watch produced more closely approximated the radiomir in design, except that it had no branding or markings. the luminor model prototype debuted in the late 40's well after the war when it was better understood that radioactive materials could pose a health risk, and thus the radium in the radiomir models gave way to tritium used in the new luminor models.

  • @robrobin102051 Hi Rob thanks for vid. i've buy a PAM328 few weeks ago it's the same that 312 but with steel bracelet...Very nice now i've ordered a leather strap because Panerai with leather strap it's like a woman with a beautiful dress!
