This was created well before 1999, perhaps 1992-94 timeframe. It was included on most of Apple's "multimedia sampler" CD's bundled with their early external SCSI CD-ROM drives.

It was done in 1999 for Animation video 1
actually created by an idnependant designer. I ahve the original whihc is far better

Theology was always a great 3D sample... Stunning to this day...
At that quality, we could easily do it real-time today (I'm guessing 320*240 8-bit color, I do have the disk as well), but back then this was amazingly demanding.
