In my opinion, he's not being racist. Most people that talk to an Indian person the first time will usually just mention something about their race because they think being Indian is basically a secret club. To get in they attempt get into the dudes favors by mentioning his heritage or something a group of Indians might do. Its practically the same when I white guy will come up to a black and start speaking in Ebonics to try and impress him. Don't worry guys, there's still an election in 2012.
