Watching this on telly when I was five, I longed to travel into space. When it comes to space travel mankind has travelled backwards and not forward. If they stopped spending money on warfare, and put the money into helping the poor. Then the dividends would pay off for investment in exploration of space and colonization (peaceful)only using resources for survival and not for greed or profit

@rachel42. Space exploration has continued and developed at the same rate as the rest of the world. Putting a man on the moon is child's play compared to landing a fully-automated probe on Titan or smashing into a comet at 64,000 mph, and they were both from last decade.There's currently a gravity probe (such a thing could not be dreamt of in the 60's or 70's) flying to Jupiter as well as a mission flying to Pluto right now. Putting men on board would only limit what could be done within budget.
