  • 5' 11" - Is a great seat. IO tried to go back to the stock seat, but it started to hurt my back.

  • The reason for the 48 was that I wanted the wide front end. If all I wanted was a Peanut Tank, I'd have bought a Nightster. The wide front end conversion for a Nightster was really over priced. Besides, I sold the Harley last October in favor of a CBR1000RR. The Harley was really hard on my back. With the bars and the forward controls, the angle was too steep to be comfortable for me. Although I LOVE the looks of a HD, I just like to build them, not ride them. The performance just isn't there.

  • An Iron 883 is 833cc's. Hence the "883".

  • Not at all. Bikes less than 1000cc are girl bikes. LOL

  • where do you get the bag dude

  • Nice, but why do you Americans take the front fender off, iis it legal with no fender, and don't you get road grime splattered all over you ride

  • nice kayak.

  • hey, how tall are you? I am thinking about getting that springer seat, but don't want to feel cramped on the bike. Let us know how it has treated you so far.

  • How much would you say you've invested already past the MSRP of $10,500 with the extras you've put on?

  • @chadtowner thats a shame bud. i hear ya on performance. you can get HD bikes with "better" performance. However, comparing an HD to a CBR1000RR is like comparing a basketball player vs a hockey player: not the same thing at all. I have an IRON 883 and I want the fat front tire too... but, like you, I find the conversion to costly, especially since I love the stock 13 spoke black rims it comes with. Anyways, nice bike man, shame you had to get rid of it!

  • or you could be smart like me and just put an extra liter battle of gas in that bag so if you run out, just pour that in and get to the next station. easy
