  • The Monkey King Staff form of Hung Gar is not a monkey style staff set per say, it is a staff set based off of the monk Xuanzang written about in "Journey to the West". The story, though fictionalized, is based off of some of the true events in this monks life. The staff set is supposed to be based off of his staff and how it would grow from "stick size" to any length he needed it to be for whatever fighting situation (depicted in the use of the short, medium and long range strikes in the form)

  • this vid totally cut out my fave bit haha btw who is this dude?his gong fu is great and ive seen him before.

  • @RockstarAbdalla yeah it was adopted into some hung gar systems, when i first found out i was shocked too.
