Based on Actual Events: So what are your perceptions of what Africans look like? As Obama talks about the issues of race and gender in America, how about we take a look at how certain groups of people and genders are depicted in the media. This is just one experience of what people think. And to a degree this type of ignorance is simply due to what people are exposed to in the media. So how can we use media to change the perceptions and or stereotypes of others....simple...Comedy! So join this young lady as she auditions for a role of the "African Woman," but is told she doesn't look "African" enough. So what do African women look like in the eyes of these casting directors? Watch and see

  • I'm assuming the media thinks the natural state of black ppl referring to looks, language, and charachteristics is African? So in that case the natural state of white ppl may very well be .....caveman?...lol I don't know somebody tell me something!
