@oldiesguy8 I think it was the fact that MGM focused a lot on Judy Garland. The studio itself didn't give Gloria DeHaven the spotlight in many movies, which she deserved.

Gloria DeHaven was such a beauty and had a great voice... too bad she never made it to the ranks of People like Judy Garland... she def had the voice to do it... she did do a film with Judy though called Summer stock also with Gene Kelly. and there is Van Johnson at the end of this clip... got to love him :)
