The roses bloom in summer,

The daisies bloom in spring,

The autumn leaves do cover...

What the snows of winter bring.

They bring their quilts of crystal,

Their blankets made of snow...

They cover the lily and thistle,

While the winter winds do blow!

And then Gods lights a fire,

And the winter melts away,

So springtime returns with fire,

To gently warm each day!

And so it is with my soul,

For the breath of God is warm,

His flame of Love makes me whole,

And guides me through each storm!

When all is dark and dreary,

When it is cold and barren too,

His touch keeps me from being dreary,

And I am no longer feeling blue,

For everything there is a season,

There are winters in my life,

But it isn't God's abandonment or treason,

For the winter leads to spring time,

And spring precedes summer's bloom,

How could we adore the autumn?,

Without some winter's gloom?
