This is a highlights video that the WWF production team created for the match between Shawn Micheals and Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania XIV in 1998. This was in a DVD named, "WWF WrestleMania: The Official Insider's Story." From the recent highlights videos that the WWE has aired recently, none can compare to this video. The song that is played at the end is "Bitter Sweet Symphony" by The Verve.
Trivia: The band opening is "The Chris Warren Band" who perform The DX song.

  • I remember this being part of Wrestlemania All Day Long before Wrestlemania 2000

  • @moe32487

I remember that too! It's amazing how that was 11 years ago.

  • I've always been a huge fan of bret hart. And even though, i think he may of been one of the best if not THE best technical wrestler, Shawn Michaels is probably the most entertaining to watch

  • @sammyborhap I never got the chance to watch Bret Hart in his WWF days or at all for that matter. However, watching some of his matches he was such a great wrestler. Shawn Michaels no doubt has always been able to put on a great show.

  • This is what I call a Insta-Classic and a wonderful fight.

  • hbk's last match of his prime

  • Everyone knows HBK's change in attitude through religious beliefs--which I don't agree with because I'm an atheist but I still accept their positive impact on HBK. I always think of how important HBK's back injury was to shape the rest of his career. I mean if HBK never got injured, having the ego he did in '98, Austin, Rock, and HHH would've been held down. But HBK would've given us great heel moments in the Attitude Era that we were only starting to see in '97-98 with DX. Weird situation.

  • A Stone Cold with a broken neck vs a Shawn Michaels with a broken back still produces a better match than a healthy John Cena vs an annoying (and soon concussed) Miz.

  • no one in the wwe today can even come close to these long forgotten legends. wrestling has changed too much...... :'(

  • damn both these wrestlers are amazing as hell. shawn micheals wrestled , despite his broken back, shows great charecter on his part. and stone cold fighting every match with a freaking neck injury. + the night before his last match in wrestlemania 19 he was hospitalized and stillshowed up . hes really the toughest son of a bitch ;p

  • This was the best WM ever. Hands down. Why can't WWE be like this? Most of 1998 was TV PG..... of course there wasn't a BS bully program & the influence of Linda McMahon's senate run.

  • Fuck vince mcmahon jr.
