on top of damage that it woud have done, especially with radiation, the lights in the city stayed on during the explosion, witch is impossible as an exploding nuclear deivice creates an EMP. it was just a huge stock of TNT that went off, like in 4-5 ton range.

Dude, this camera is using light amplification technology. The initial explosion is going to release a lot of light when using a lens like this. That bright flash is a side effect. Anyone who has described a nuke has described it as "turning the night into day"
A nuclear explosion would leave a longer residual effect, would blind everyone in the area and would most likely disable the camera due to the EMP effect.
