  • @dutchyboy66 I agree with you I have a cd of just him singing and it is great . They should have given him more to sing I also think he was indeed a great singer.

  • Doy Ott is fantastic.Wish I could find more featuring him.

  • I've loved the Statesmen since first seeing Hovie & Jake from the Gaitger videos & then listening online to their music. I'm 37 yrs

old so they were before my time but, they've touch me w/their music. God sure blessed them & I know they're up in Heaven together singing again. I just joinyed your videoss. God bless.

  • Hello, I am looking for something/anything of "The Big Chief's Golden Stair's Choir" of the Assemblies of God Tabernacle in Atlanta GA. I have searched You Tube and cannot find it. Do you know of this? Thank you for any help. A Statesman Fan

  • Noone could beat Hovie at following a singer!

  • Thank you for your time and effort for placing these great songs on you- tube so I can once more hear and see these great singers singing their hearts out for the Lord!

  • about Doy Ott,he was a full blooded American Indian. He also arranged ALL the songs the Statesmen sang.Should you have a quartet, model them after the Statesmen,if you can.

  • Sublime. Simply sublime.

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • I always thought of Doy Ott as the Perry Como of gospel music. So smoothe, mellow and relaxed...just wonderful.

  • I really like him...he's the Statesmen Quartet's "Indian Boy"
