do you prime the shells before paint?

@nicdrmsforlfe I use a lacquer sealer first but with this lacquer you don't really need it.

Yes I made it.. Just cut out a couple of discs out of 3/4" material and put a bolt through the centre

Kids, DO NOT paint the inside of your drums. It looks cool but will make your toms and snare sound SO dead. The bass not so much. I did it to mine for looks and regret ever trying it. Do the job right the first time!
