Yeah Im the same.I do really enjoy the first 5 albums.But unlike many 311 fans I dont rate the 'Blue Album' in high esteem,Yes it was their breakthrough album but overall I think they have done better.I havent heard the B-Side..so I will give it a listen.

@BuRgEoNyT1 Uplifter it great for me. DToM was awesome for me because it was the first 311 I ever heard and it blew my mind, but it's on the bottom now that I've heard everything else. Evolver is one of my favorites. Transistor and Grassroots are tied in my book. Music is amazing, and the "Blue album" is one I for some reason don't listen to much. From Chaos if 50/50 for me. I like some, others I could live without. Looking forward to the new album. The 3 tracks they've released are great.

@BuRgEoNyT1 Chad is my favourite drummer but on Uplifter (and probably Universal Pulse) his style has changed.you can stilll tell its him.But all those little triplets on the snare which I loved so much have dissapeared.My favourite 311 album is Transistor,which isnt a surpris to me as its possibly Chads best album in my opinion and their most experimental.By the way did you enjoy Uplifter?

@BuRgEoNyT1 This may sound stupid but because chads drumming and snare in particular is a big part in 311s sound.I think that his drumsound and an overall more pop-like sound from the band.Is the reason behind my dislike to Bob Rock and recent 311.
