Rolling Madness 3D - Runthrough

A few days ago I found this fun and addictive but hard game called Rolling Madness 3D, which is a freeware remake of the classic Marble Madness arcade game from 1984. I've never played Marble madness before. I used the mouse for control after not being fast enough with the keyboard. A trackball is probably an even better controller choice.

After a few nights of intense gaming I finally managed to beat all the six levels in a row, (since there are no saved games) and here it is. Recorded with Fraps and edited with Windows Movie Maker.

What I didn't know was that after you beat the last level, the game restarts from the first one (practice race excluded) and you get to keep the accumulated score. So I just kept going until the time ran out at the end of my third run. The second run was clearly my best one.

I had to speed things up a bit to fit into 10 minutes.

I don't have a Wii... and probably won't until I have kids of my own O_o, but by then there will be a new Nintendo console out: The Super Wii Revolution Game Sphere 64 :D!

I Mastered Marble Madness on the arcade version, NES Version, and PS2 Version... Level 2 has one of those songs that can never leave a Gamers Soul. Kudos.

ça me rappelle MarbleMadness sur GameBoy dans le début des années 90 , j'avais galéré pour le finir. Les niveaux ressemblent fortement à la version GameBoy. Le dernier par contre je ne m'en souviens plus. C'est un jeu ultra-dur à terminer, j'ai réussi à le terminer 2 fois en m'y acharnant. Car il faut savoir qu'au bout d'un certains nombres de billes cassées il faut recommencer à zéro.

this is awesome , would be nice to see minor gfx enhancements staying true to retro style, such as environmentmap on the marble and ambient-occlusion shadowing in the scenery ... is this open sourced?

I can not past the 3rd level because the beggining drains my time i get stuck in the walls bumping back and forth and the time is at like 20 seconds then when i reach then end i always fall off the edge with like 5 seconds left then die :P
