@theprof1958 No I know don't worry. I recently submitted an essay on this specific concerto as part of my music degree from the university of York so I just got a bit carried away. But yes the picture you found is a modern chalumeau that was made for folk whistle players as an instrument they could easily play. However an actual chalumeau as a concerto instrument would have looked like a recorder with a mouthpiece with 2 keys and would only have a range of 12th

This is a lovely sound from the chalumeau. I have heard other uploads where the sound has been pretty rough on the ears. This is quite refined, sweet and in tune. BRIAN

@jerchiury No, there is ornament/group of notes going down that are hard to play so quickly.
