The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Final Boss (SPOILERS)

Yes, it's the final boss, the Demon King himself. He's actually quite easy for a final boss, if you have the hang of your shield. If you happen to be doing this shieldless, check out the (admittedly better encoded) video response.

Technically, for the second half, you're supposed to charge your Skyward Strikes with lightning, but if you have a wood, sacred, or this shield, you're fine blocking it.

Obtain the "absurdly sturdy" Hylian Shield by participating in Lanayru's Boss Rush and winning eight battles in a row.

When I went for the first fatal blow he rolled out the way but I got him on the second one. How come you waited for the third one?

i remember it took me forever to figure out how to kill.him! then i raised my.sword.lightning.hit and.bam! he died

I finished this battle without a shield. It's a quite a bit tougher. In the second phase, if you raise your sword in the air, it's become charged by electricity. Making the fight incredibly more epic.

Doing with the hylan shield is alot easier.

also more prone to resulting in broken consoles, but hey...
